Adding a bookmark to Firefox works in much the same way as adding to Favourites in Internet Explorer. The basic proceedure is at follows:
Click on "Bookmarks" at the top of the window.
Click on "Bookmark this page" and the "Add bookmark" dialogue box opens.
If you just want to add the bookmark to the list that appears when you click on "Bookmarks" just click on the "OK" button.
However there other options that make it much easier to find websites in the future.
Renaming For a start a lot of webpages don't have useful names and they can be very long. You can name them yourself by clicking on the "Name" box, deleting its contents and typing in something easier to recognise.
Creating folders You can also put the bookmark in a folder along with similar websites. To create a folder click on the small arrow to the right of the "Create in" box, which displays all those available and click on the "New Folder". Give the folder an appropriate name and the bookmark will be saved there.
Saving to existing folders Click on the down arrow IN the "Create in" box, a list of the five folders you have saved to recently will appear, just click on the one you want to save to.
If you can't see it, click on the down arrow to the right of the "Create in" box and a complete list of folders will appear.
Saving lots of bookmarks at the same time This is very useful if you have a lot of tabs open, all on the same subject and you want to bookmark them in the same folder. Instead of clicking on "Bookmark this page", click on "Bookmark All Tabs" on the main bookmarks menu and then select or create the folder you want to save them in.
