Our broadband ISP won't support sharing the broadband connection via a network unless one of the following routers is used:
- Netgear DG834 (approx £54 delivered to Mull)
- Speedtouch 580 (approx £63 delivered to Mull)
- Speedtouch 510 (over £100, so a bit too pricey)
Currently the computers are networked via hubs, so all the cabling is in place, ie we don't need to have a wireless router. However, it's not to say that a wireless router wouldn't be handy in future.
Has anybody any experience of routers? Any advice about the different properties and whether they are worth the extra expense?
