The index is organised into sections, Email & Security, Internet & Security, Using the Computer, Maintaining the Computer and Miscillaneous. Some of these subjects overlap sections, so if you don't find what you want in one look in another. Click on the bold text to go to that topic. These guides are correct to the best of my knowledge but every computer is slightly different. They rarely advise you to make system changes to your computer but where they do it is offered as advice only, you are responsible for any changes made. Please post any comments or questions about the guides in the Guide testing and discussion section. Just press a key and send me a picture of it. Tidy up your computer , the computer is just like anywhere else you keep files, every so often it needs a spring clean. Link broken Error messages and problems Working with text and pictures, how to get you where you want them. Using an Epson scanner to recognise text , how to scan a document into the computer. Installing handwriting recognition How to type special characters such as . Creating an index in Word, very useful for long documents and this is the best guide available in my opinion. Editing the index, a follow up to the previous guide. A brief guide to track changes, if you are asking someone for their thoughts on something you've written, this is by far the best way of collaborating.
